How Wipe Board works
Wipe Board reads the BattleMetrics API every 10 minutes (hot servers every minute) and keeps one record per online Rust server: name, population, last wipe time, declared wipe schedule, group limit, gather rate and type. On 22 August 2026 that was 9,577 servers (Europe 4,035, North America 3,830, Asia 849, Oceania 415, South America 251, Middle East 131, Africa 66). It then answers three questions for each: did it just wipe, when is its next wipe, and is it overdue.
Three states, three colours
Wiped — the server reports a map start time (its "born" time) inside the window. Within 3 hours of that it is marked fresh, the best moment to join. Scheduled — the server's wipe schedule has a wipe inside the window and it has not happened yet. Due — the scheduled time has passed without a new map being reported; the wipe is late or the schedule is wrong. We show that in red instead of pretending it happened.
Owner-declared vs detected
BattleMetrics carries two kinds of schedule. Owner-declared: the server owner typed it in (day, hour, timezone, map or BP). On 22 August 2026, 771 of 5,299 scheduled servers were owner-declared. Detected: BattleMetrics inferred it from past wipes. Detected schedules are usually right for weekly servers and often wrong for irregular ones, so every scheduled row says which it is, and the board has a one-click filter for owner-declared only.
What is left out
Offline servers. On the text pages, aim-train and arena servers (their "wipes" are restarts) and servers ranked below 8,000 on BattleMetrics, to keep the lists readable; the live board lets you include them.
Glossary
Force wipe
The mandatory map wipe on every Rust server when Facepunch releases the monthly update — first Thursday of the month, 19:00 UK (18:00 UTC in summer). See the countdown.
Map wipe
The world resets: bases, loot, deployables and the map seed. Blueprints are kept.
BP wipe
Learned blueprints are reset, so crafting progression starts from scratch. Usually monthly, on force wipe day.
Full wipe
Map and blueprints wiped together.
Wipe cycle
How often a server wipes its map. Wipe Board derives it from the declared schedule: daily, every 2–4 days, weekly (5–9 days), biweekly (10–18), monthly.
Group limit
The maximum team size a server enforces: solo (1), duo (2), trio (3), quad (4) or no limit. Read from BattleMetrics' groupLimit, falling back to the team-UI limit.
Gather rate
The resource multiplier compared with vanilla: 1x, 2x, 5x, 10x…
